Meet Makeisha
Transformational Coach & Business Consultant
Makeisha Williams-Thompson has more than 17 years of professional experience in life skills, mentoring, coaching, and business development. As a certified Cosmetologist and Cosmetology Instructor, a Certified Life Coach, a Licensed Insurance Agent and Credit Repair Specialist, Entrepreneur, Author, Speaker, Urban Youth Mentor, and Founder & Executive Director of My Luv 4U2, Inc., she uses her gifts and talents to empower youth and reshape urban communities.
Makeisha became a mother at a young age, yet in her early 20s, she decided that motherhood would not hinder her career or success as an entrepreneur. She opened a salon and began to provide opportunities for multiple cosmetologists and barbers in her community. During this time, Makeisha realized that her purpose was to pour into the youth on the West Side of Chicago, where she was born and raised. After coordinating several charitable efforts, Makeisha founded her not-for-profit organization, My Luv 4U2, Inc., which is purposed to provide transitional housing to homeless youth and teen moms. Makeisha is most fulfilled when helping young people to grow professionally. She is living proof that you can overcome any odds.
In addition to her entrepreneurial endeavors, Makeisha consults with credit restoration and family planning. She has a proven ability to foster relationships with school administration, community leaders, and community stakeholders for the betterment of Chicagoland youth. Her vision and ability to nurture relationships contribute to the sustainability and success of aspiring cosmetologists/entrepreneurs. Previously, Makeisha served on the Chicago Public Schools (CPS) Neighborhood Advisory Council where she aided in decision-making regarding school openings. She has also worked as an Adult Mentor for the Governor’s Neighborhood Recovery Initiative in West Garfield Park.

Makeisha is a wife, mother, and devout Christian, living and serving in Chicago, IL.
